The Advanced Powder Solutions technical center is exclusively equipped to provide customers with the capabilities of one-stop processing. We provide GEMCO® Formulators with sizes ranging from 3 - 150 CF, as well as attrition milling equipment and a fully equipped density and moisture tracking lab alongside experts and operators with decades of experience in powder processing.

GEMCO® Formulators are able to blend, dry and apply surface treatments to many types of materials. These often come from the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, nutraceuticals, vitamin, cosmetics, plastics, electronics, and precious metals industries.

APS can process material under high vacuum and inert atmospheres when hazardous, oxidative, or heat sensitive materials are used. Solvents can be recovered and, in many cases, reused. This eliminates hazardous waste build up from continued processing. Since the formulators are completely enclosed systems able to handle hazardous, flammable, and volatile material, the risk to the environment and to operator health is eliminated.

All of our GEMCO® Formulators are equipped with an intensifier bar, designed to de-agglomerate the particles being blended or dried. It also allows smaller quantities of actives with targets as low as 0.1% to disperse evenly throughout a blend. Integrated liquid feed through the bar or interchangeable nozzles, provided on all GEMCO® Formulators, allows us to spray in binders or coatings and then simultaneously dry and size the product.
