APS is exclusively equipped with different sized GEMCO Formulators to provide customers with the capabilities of one-stop processing. We provide 1/2, 3, 50, 50, and 150 CF working capacity units. All of these are completely scalable!
GEMCO formulators are able to blend, dry and apply surface treatments to many types of materials. These often come from the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, nutraceuticals, vitamin, cosmetics, plastics, electronics, and precious metals industries.
APS can process material under high vacuum and inert atmospheres when hazardous, oxidative, or heat sensitive materials are used. Solvents can be recovered and, in many cases, reused. This eliminates hazardous waste build up from continued processing. Since the formulators are completely enclosed systems able to handle hazardous, flammable, and volatile material, the risk to the environment and to operator health is eliminated.
All our formulators are equipped with an intensifier bar. This bar helps de-agglomerate the particles being blended or dried. It also allows smaller quantities of actives with targets as low as .1% to disperse evenly throughout a blend. Integrated liquid feed through the bar or interchangeable nozzles, provided on all Formulators, allows us to spray in binders or coatings and then simultaneously dry and size the product.
